So we're upon hurricane season now...and a fairly substantial storm is brewing out in the Atlantic....and is suspected to affect all of Atlantic Canada in the coming few days.Back in 2003, Juan packed quite a punch - and left much destruction in his path. He was a category 2 hurricane (and hit the Island as a category 1). Bill is currently a category 4 -- though is expected to lose strength as it continues along its path. Worse-case scenario is Bill makes Juan look like a baby storm....and that could be very, very scary.
We're not being warned with panic - the true course and path not yet known, and the possibility is there that he could change several ways before he hits landfall ( if he does hit landfall) - but, we are being cautioned to prepare for bad weather. Stay safe this weekend, everyone...
