I walked up the stairwell to the entrance door at work today to find a sign, "Please use other door!".
There's a brightly coloured, very professional looking, sign on the printer to advise that it's now voice enabled, with user-friendly instructions: "Using Voiceover is Easy. 1.) Stand close to the printer 2.) Simply speak one of the following commands: "PRINT"; "COPY" or "SCAN" 3.) You may also speak additional information: "PRINT FIVE COPIES"; "COPY THIS TWO TIMES ON A4 PAPER".
I work with a bunch of hooligans ;). I can proudly say that I was not fooled by either message. But, as I sit right next to the printer, I can honestly say that there were at least two others that questioned: "Well, will it still work if I just hit the buttons? 'Cause I'm not going to talk to the printer....".
Kudos to whoever came up with the devious trickery. It was quite amusing.
So, tell me --- were you fooled today? Other than forgetting my watch and leaving my freshly brewed, piping hot travel mug full of coffee on the kitchen table, I managed to escape the foolery unscathed. Fortunately, I can finally say that the weekend is on the horizon, and a very long, VERY busy week is behind me. That's my tiny blessing for today!
Happy Friday!

Friday Funny
Yeah, yeah, I'm super slacking in the blogging. I am sorry. I really am. I will aim to do better next week. I swear. Been busy - super busy at work, and that's led to a SUPER sore wrist, necessitating even wearing a wrist brace again. Sooo...less time on the interwebs in my "free" time. I've been thinking about ya'll, and wanted to say hey, Happy Friday... Here's a funny:
The look on that dog's face is freaking PRICELESS!

Misery likes company
There's a full moon on the horizon.
If you work with the general public, you probably didn't need to have that reminder.
Least we don't have it as bad as this little guy, eh? ;)

"“A logo should look just as good in 15-foot letters on top of company headquarters as it does one sixteenth of an inch tall on company stationery.”*
A "logo" is defined as "a graphic representation or symbol of a company name, trademark, abbreviation, etc., often uniquely designed for ready recognition". They make good business sense. A simple idea that sticks in the public mind and eye, right? Unmistakeable are the logos for McDonalds or Nike...and regardless of language, the whole world knows what those companies represent. If I was travelling in a foreign country I'd easily be able to spot the nearest McD's for my Big Mac fix a mile away. God bless those golden arches, I say.
I'm sure there are many graphic designers out there with heavy pockets having dreamed up the perfect, simple, unique designs for a variety of crafts or lines. Sometimes, however, these representations go a-foul... Now, perhaps they're created purposely and the right people signing on the bottom line to have them go forward aren't looking as closely as they should. Or, perhaps they don't have the mind of a 12-year-old boy, like some of us out there, and don't see the alternative 'meaning' that they might represent. Regardless, the results can be remarkably funny. To see what I mean, view this Top 10:

My personal favourites would have to be the Kids Exchange and Mega Flicks. Bravo, gentleman, bravo!

Epic fail.
I can't stop hitting replay. You should too. Now. Don't put it off. Eventually Youtube will likely pull it off for "nudity". It's funnier each time. Trust me on this.
Epic truly does describe this type of failure, doesn't it?
Update: well the original user removed it - but it had already been re-posted by several others, so I've updated this post to include it, again, for your viewing pleasure. You're welcome! :)

can andy say that?
I never miss Ellen. I think she is completely and utterly fabulous. Her kindness and generosity know no boundaries, and she's constantly helping a variety of different causes and people in need. She's a genuine 'feel good' person, and you can't help but smile at her antics. Watch the following excerpt from today's show where she pokes a little harmless fun at Andy, her executive producer:
This totally made my day today. Thanks Ellen!!!
